Good Neighbor Day —Building Community Connections Through Service

Each year, the University of Maryland’s Office of Community Engagement hosts Good Neighbor Day, an annual day of service to College Park and the surrounding communities. With dozens of different volunteer projects available, Good Neighbor’s Day’s purpose is not only to offer an array of projects that spark passion in volunteers, but to build new community relationships – the kind that make College Park such a great place to live.

Good Neighbor Day is a collaborative partnership between the University of Maryland, the City of College Park, and The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC). This year, Project Themes range from Sustainability and Intergenerational Connection, to Food Security and Local History.

With many diverse service opportunities, volunteers can find a community project they are particularly passionate about while they meet new people with similar interests. While good Good Neighbor Day, volunteer sign-up is now closed, we’re super excited to participate this weekend. We hope to see you there!
