Josh heard about the Partnership’s down payment assistance program, which provides down payment and closing cost assistance towards the purchase of a home in College Park, Maryland, through the Partnership’ weekly e-newsletter. Originally from South Dakota, he has been working at the University of Maryland  since 2014.

When Josh decided he wanted to relocate from Silver Spring to be closer to the University, he initially was unsure where he would land. After considering relocating to Riverdale Park, Berwyn Heights, and University Park it was the Partnership’s Program that influenced him to settle in College Park. Josh is an avid bicyclist and will now be able to bike to work more often. “This house is great because the Trolley Trail is so close – and I can use it to get to the University quickly and take [my dogs] Finn and Benjamin out for a ride – College Park has a lot of great trails.  He also expressed his interest in College Park’s unique amenities “there is so much that’s happening here including great Farmers Markets and businesses like the Board and Brew. It’s an exciting time to live in the City.”
