The Last Goldfish: College Park’s First Mixed-Media Installation

This year, we brought an untold story of College Park’s past to life with ‘The Last Goldfish‘ by Baltimore artist Andy Dahl. The installation, which uses marine-grade wood and LEDs, illuminates downtown College Park after sunset. A first for College Park, this mixed-media installation was made possible by funding from the Prince George’s County Redevelopment Authority’s Community Impact Grant and the City of College Park’s Facade Improvement Grant.

Trolley Trail Day 2025: Maryland Maker’s Market

For the first time ever, we partnered with Shop Made in MD to host the Maryland Makers’ Market at Trolley Trail Day 2025. Guests browsed bit and bobs from over seventeen makers from across Maryland and cooled off with chilled refreshers by Alchemy Mocktails.

Good Neighbor Day: Food Drive Distribution Project

This year, Partnership staff joined the University of Maryland’s Center for Community Engagement’s day of service, Good Neighbor Day, on October 25,2025. Partnership staff coordinated over 30 volunteers to distribute 4,500+ canned and boxed items to three food banks across College Park.

Live+Work College Park: 100th Homebuyer Celebration

2025 was a record-breaking, milestone year for our down payment assistance program, Live+Work College Park. From the Partnership, the City of College Park, the University of Maryland, and Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (MD-DHCD), including MD-DHCD Secretary Jake Day, welcomed homebuyer Becky Owen, an employee of the Discovery District, to College Park.

With new projects, program expansions and over $7.5 million in funding on the horizon for 2026, we’re excited to build on the progress of a successful year.
