Dr. Andrea Brown is Director of Athletic Bands, where she leads the “Mighty Sound of Maryland,” and she is Associate Director of Bands in the University of Maryland’s School of Music. She moved from the University of Michigan about two and half years ago, where she was Assistant Director of Bands, though she’s originally from Tennessee. [While] renting in College Park, she loved the neighborhood, and a house directly across the street. [When the] house went up for sale, Andrea [used the Homeownership Program to purchase it]. “The program is great and easy to use. Before moving to College Park, I heard people who didn’t have the best things to say about this area. But I love the neighborhood and this Program [really helped]– College Park is a great place to live.”
