For six years, Shine Massage and Wellness Studio has catered to improving the wellness of its clients through a variety of clinical massage services. More recently, the business upgraded to its current location at 7307 Baltimore Ave Suite 111, offering therapeutic massages to the residents of College Park.
Licensed by the American Massage Therapy Association, owner Sally Sunshine Mendoza has over a decade of experience in therapeutic massage. She employs 5 other licensed massage therapists w ho are trained in Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, hot stone, and additional clinical massage techniques aimed for relieving pain and stress, as well as finding relaxation.
The studio offers appointment times varying between 8:00am and 6:00pm throughout the week. At the time of the appointment, customers are welcomed by their massage therapist, who checks them in, offers them water, and leads them to one of the four private and homely massage rooms. Before beginning the massage, therapists and customers will discuss what they’d personally like to get out of the massage.
Whether it’s for stress relief, healing an injury, or simply zoning out, massages are catered to the goals and comfort level of each individual customer, who is encouraged to define their own comfort levels. This means that the target areas, pressure intensity, and skin exposure are up to the client. For certain services, clients also get to choose which skin product they like—between coconut oil, unscented lotion, and a range of essential oils.
Because the therapists at Shine recognize how personal massages can be, they are completely respectful to their clients, offering as much privacy and tact as possible. No matter which therapist you schedule your their appointment with, you are guaranteed to be in great hands.
