17 years ago Mediterranean Kitchen, Taim opened its first location in New York City’s West Village. Taim was a hit, New York Magazine calls them the “best in New York” for falafel and other flavorful dishes. The viral falafel spot soon expanded, with locations sprawled along the East Coast, including one conveniently located in College Park’s City Hall Plaza at 7401 Baltimore Avenue.

Taim makes its fast-casual, custom bowls, pitas, and salads using the best ingredients (made from scratch!). The build-your-own style dishes are flavored with 18 different Mediterranean herbs and spices. Though the house favorite is falafel, customers may swap it out with classics like chicken shawarma, cauliflower shawarma, eggplant, or beef meatballs. After selecting a protein, guests can add rice or greens, pickled onions, seasoned chickpeas, cucumbers, and marinated tomatoes. Top off the bowl, salad, or pita with hummus, tzatziki, tahini, tangy mango sauce, or spicy green chili sauce.

The restaurant’s College Park location interior imitates the warm characteristics of the Mediterranean and has great indoor and outdoor seating in City Hall Plaza. If you’re looking for a good deal, Taim has several recurring meal promotions;  pick up pita and fries for just $10 via their Sunday #cravecombo., or feed the family a Mediterranean feast for $49.95.

Taim is open 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Sunday to Friday, and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. You can check them out on Instagram and Facebook, and download their app on Appstore or the Google Play Store.  Order in person or on their website for pick-up.
