This Sunday, December 18 at 7pm the College Park Arts Exchange is holding a Community Concert at St Andrew’s parish hall in downtown College Park, just off Baltimore Avenue. It will feature CPAE performance groups: Vocetti, Berwyn Ballet, College Park Youth Music Traditions and College Park Chorale.

Vocetti is a group of young voices from 9 to 16 years old who have gone through an audition process. Through group activities and songs, they learn fundamental music theory, ensemble harmony, and acappella techniques. They will amuse the College Park community by using their education and vocal talent.

The Berwyn Ballet School equips students with an understanding of classical ballet technique as well as the flexibility to accommodate various dance genres. Classes teach students about anatomy, kinematics, coordination, and alignment while also featuring professional ballet training from the American Ballet.

Children aged 6 to 17 participate in College Park Youth Music Traditions, a program that teaches traditional music (including Americana, Irish, Blues, Jazz, Bluegrass, and other genres) by ear in a group environment. Musicians perform a variety of instruments and they play fiddles, guitars, bass, piano, mando, sax, ukes and more!

The College Park Chorale is a 60-person community choir, who sing a wide range of choral music at two concerts each year and enjoy participating in neighborhood events.

The event is open to the public and donations to the College Park Arts Exchange will be gratefully accepted at the door. Come celebrate the holidays with the talented musicians of College Park.
