1. MARYLAND STATE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR WORK SHARING PROGRAM

A voluntary Maryland Division of Unemployment Insurance (DUI) program that provides an alternative to layoffs for employers confronted with a sharp, temporary decline in business. The Work Sharing (WS) program allows an employer to cut costs by equally dividing available hours of work among employees. While working reduced hours, the employees will also be eligible to receive partial Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefit payments based on their reduction in weekly work hours.

2. MARYLAND BUSINESS RELIEF WIZARD

The Maryland Business Relief Wizard is a tool that helps connect businesses with the resources and programming for which they’re eligible, streamlining the process of finding support.

3. PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CENTER COVID-19 FUND

The Prince George’s County COVID19 Business Relief Fund is a $15M fund established to provide financial assistance to businesses affected by the COVID-19 crisis. The Relief Fund can be used to support cash operating expenses including payroll, suppliers, rent, fixed debt payments and other business critical cash operating costs.

4. MARYLAND’S SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER

Maryland’s Small Business Development Center is offering no cost confidential consulting for small business owners and a useful survival guide.
